So I had a dream last night where I was playing a board game based on Ravnica. It was played on a square "cityscape" with 4 players, each a guild chosen at the start, all vying for control. Each guild had it's own unique abilities and goals, and throughout the game could unlock special powers and abilities. From what I can remember, I was Dimir (obviously) and I unlocked the abililty to have instant speed travel around the city, though I have no idea what that would actually mean. I also know that I ended up flipping over pieces of the board to claim them, but that probably would not work in a real world context.
Anyway, what do you think of a game like this? I think it would be really cool, especially because there are 10 possible guilds to play as but only 4 players, so games will be entirely different based on whatever guilds are picked to duke it out.

We already have that for Izzet and Golgari, but not the other 8 guilds.

Given I'm a mechanics > flavor dude, I find it hard to give an opinion.
First thoughts went to Lords of Waterdeep, which could possibly be used as a skeleton for something. Not that "cube management" is anything unique to LoW. At least it shows that wotc can make decent board games, so maybe there's some hope, given Ravnica's popularity.
Although if I were to make any predictions, I think it's more likely the game would be about influencing the different guilds for various gains. "You are a planeswalker" and all that too.
Everything Mown does is elegant.

Custom monopolies are only good for the tokens, my aunt gave me a Star Wars Monopoly once for my bday and the only thing I ever did with it was remove the tokens and use them as decoration.

Okay, here is the clincher. I've been waiting to say this.
The "cam girl" this was inspired by was just a girl from a social networking website, Stickam. Her name was TinyTerror and she was just a regular girl who was on her webcam, totally unrelated to any type of adult content.

Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.

I had a dream I was at gatecrash prerelease. I knew I was g/w/x with my pool, but I was debating whether to go bant or naya. My dream skips some stuff, and I'm playing my first match. It turns out Maraxas had built my deck for me, and it was RDW. I was NOT happy.
Anyways, suudsu, if you want, it would be possible to make a game like that in flavor and storylines. Hell, I'll go make it now.
EDIT: it's been 4 hours, but I'm almost done. On the other hand, it's 4 in the morning and spring semester classes start on Monday. But it's so cool it's worth it. Trust me on this.
