The cost doesn't include "and sacrifice it". Modern Naya might be able to use this. Might. Mostly tokens + Overrun  = possibly enough damage to make this worthwhile.

This is definitely gonna win some limited games, not sure if it's constructed playable but it's definitely stronger than people are letting on.

I would consider this worthy of play in Rx Aggro.
Feels like one of Zac Hill's.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

Goblin Warrens  has more flavor than Krenko, Mob Boss  but players have a hard time sacrificing creatures and who I'm I to question success ?

Seriously though. In limited it might make the difference vs. Orzhov
Constructed... mmm... mmm... probably not. The double red is restrictive for agro decks except in RDW but I don't see RDW wasing a t3 drop with this.

Definitely could make it into R/x aggro. Turn 3 Drop this, swing a couple doodz, 2 counters. Turn 4 a single hasty guy *cough Hellrider cough* and it's active for 5 to the face. The ability to use it again may be slow and usually unhelpful, but it will be huge in the games where it matters.
Edit: Also, plays very, very nicely with Boros Charm.
