I think people here are talking about MTG 2014...

does that mean that MTG 2013 will get no more DLC decks and just it??

And then start a new MTG 2014 with little decks and increase over time??

Why is that?? I mean at last MTG 2013 started to have many decks to offer variation!!

I hope they do not add a new game.. Just Make it MTG 2014 as an update for  IAP DLC, so we enjoy old and new decks!

In my opinion it's a mistake to think that each individual DOTP game offers enough gameplay variety and has enough longevity to last more than the full year. So far 2013 only has 2 more decks than 2012, and we still have half a year to go. Sure there's more customization, and the game might even last the full year, but without any sort of support or in game events and either temporary or permanent specials (like the events in Gears of War 3 and the seasonal temporary addons) the game start to lose its steam come summer 2013. Now, I'm not against making a game that could last for a couple of years, with support for both years in terms of DLC and community events, but I don't think that the format lends itself well to longscale, as you only have very limited options of customizing decks and getting new experiences during your matchups over time.

I personally feel like there were game balance mistakes in this set. I'm looking forward to seeing a new set of decks that hopefully will be a better balanced.

This deck pack concept is flawed. It would be better instead of deck packs they offered more expansions. With more decks (5 is enough) and more challenges (10 per expansion), with more card unlocks (minimum of 40). Some people don't buy deck packs because they don't like the decks in it, with more decks the chance this event happens is reduced. With more expansions, at end the product would have 30 decks to play.

I don't like encounters either, they are boring and I played each one just one time. I think "special challenges" would be much better, normal matches with special rules (for example, only noncombat damage can be done).

Maybe it's time for them to re-think their business model.  Instead of selling pre-made decks, start selling individual cards/booster packs, and allow end user full customization.  The idea that people will migrate migrate over to MGT Online as long as they don't provide these features in DotP is flawed.  MGTO looks like crap in comparison, few people will make the jump, especially console players.

We're getting a new game.
It'll have fewer bugs, added features, new decks, Planechase will go away and be replaced with something else (I'm thinking Emperor for some reason) etc. etc. etc.

That's how it works.
Sorry.

That said, 2013 was a HUGE improvement over 2012.
With any luck, 2014 will be as huge an improvement over 2013.

My favorite bug that they fixed, is that damn phase skip from 2012.  I still get nervous and pause the game out of habbit, whenever my opponent activates some ability during my Main Phase, because back in 2012, it would dump you straight into combat.

We have no way of knowing how many have jumped to M:tG or M:tGO because of Duels.
Wizards might, but we don't.

For all we know, their business model is working quite well.
