Definitely looks like he finds a friend in Dimir. (See duskmantle mage)
That being said, do you think this 8 dollar Jace will suddenly rise to a 20$ status like his RTR counterpart? If so, should I buy them right now?

I definitely expect it to rise, rather than fall. We don't know yet if it will be tournament viable but casuals will certainly want to build their mill decks.
Standard Pauper! (play it on MTGO)

He'll rise. I'm not looking forward to that, since I'm interested in trying Dimir mill and don't have any of Jace. I don't expect him to double in price, though. Maybe up 3 or 4 dollars much like Garruk, Primal Hunter has the past few months. But certainly not 20 dollars. He only appeals to a single deck.

I seriously don't get why this happens every single time a new mill card is spoiled.
You know what's stupid? Turning an undersupported weak strategy like mill into a terrible combo deck just for a two-card synergy.
If you're committing to mill, there's no point trying to kill by damage/life loss. Similarly, if you're going to kill by damage/life loss, there are more efficient ways to go about it than mill.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

It's more of an alt-win con, imo. Very good for mill decks to have, and that is a good one.

It's not an alt-win when your primary win needs to be working for the alt-win to win.

Memory Adept isn't a good card because it can make silly combos- it's a good card because it nets an extra draw every turn which is an important feature for many 5 and 6 mana spells (a 'la Staff of Nin .) There's no reason to get dumb with your Memory Adepts just because the combo potential is there- but the deck can certainly be built- just don't lean on it as your best out. Think of Jace as a personal one sided Howling Mine to get you all of the extra removal you need and now and then give you that alternate win-con.

Nephalia Drownyard and Sands of Delirium are things. Really depends on the speed of the format once GTC is released in my opinion. Psychic Spiral and Increasing Confusion exist as well. While I am generally of the same opinion as Indigo, I have to admit mill has a lot of good options at the moment. It has proven to be a reliable option against Control decks thus far, who knows.
