I have a couple of decks that are now Modern legal, and I was wondering how everyone thinks they will do. I would also love some suggestions on how to make them stronger.
the first is a mono black vampire deck, and here is the decklist:
Creatures:
Vampire Lacerator X4 Bloodghast X4 Gatekeeper of Malakir X3 Vampire Hexmage X4 Vampire Nocturnas X4 Vampire Nighthawk X4 Malakir Bloodwitch X3
Spells:
Sign in Blood X3 Smother X3 Urge to Feed X3 Mind Sludge X3
Lands:
Swamp X22
Sideboard:
Swamp X1 Deathmark X3 Inquisition of Kozilek X3 Mire's Toll X2 Doom blade X4 Malakir Bloodwitch X1 Mind Sludge X1
The second is a mono green ramp deck:
Creatures:
Oracle of Mul Daya X3 Wolfbriar Elemental X3 Rampaging Baloths X3 Avenger of Zendikar X3 Gaea's Revenge X2 Craterhoof Behemoth X2 Khalni Hydra X4
Spells:
Explore X3 Khalni Heart Expedition X3 Beastmaster Ascension X2 Cultivate X3 Genesis Wave X2 Harrow X3
Lands:
Evolving Wilds X4 Khalni Garden X4 Forest X16
Sideboard:
Nature's Claim X3 Naturalize X4 Plummet X3 Slingbow Trap X3 Summoning Trap X2
Let me know what you guys think.

Don't expect to do well at a GP or anything, but the black one seems okay. Looks like an old ZEN block vampire deck.

The black one is certainly better.
I'd say that focusing so hard on the vampire thing is hurting you. I'd say turn it around and hit more of a sui black/disruption based aggro deck.
Nocturna is bad. 4 mana for a 3/3 with some conditional goodstuff is... yuck. At 22 land you're going to get them stranded in your hand as often as not, and when you do play them they won't exactly do a whole lot.
You'd get more milleage from things like duress (prefably thoughtseize but... if you had that kind of money...), maybe a manland or 3, maybe smallpox, etc.
I'd also reccomend cutting things like Urge for less conditional removal. The bodies get big in Modern, and since we're mono black we've got room for things like Victim of Night. New Lili might do it.
Luckily, we have stop-having-fun guys to remind us that having anything more than 60 cards in your deck is tantamount to being a rapist and anyone considering it should be strung up by their **** .
