I'm with Eyehunter on this one. I'm wondering if you got a chance to play with it UA?

I had this card in my pool for the prerelease and I had the feeling that most of the time it's a win-more card, rather than a game changing card (i.e. a bomb). It really depends on your opponent's guild, and if I had no trouble pulling it out against Simic or Dimir (never played against Orzhov), I was really hesitating to pull it against Boros or Gruul.
The fact that they have access to Act of Treason is a big downside. If you had a bad draw and this is your hope to slow down your opponent, you could just give them the weapon to finish you.

Also, you don't want to give extra life to any of these two guilds.

I haven't played with it.

But I watched the final where a guy got it out and forced three extort creatures to chump block until he got his own extort creatures out and then drained his opponent to death.

I also saw it get the Gift of Orzhov and finish some one off really fast.

But the reality is that I don't need to play with it.

It's a 6/6 for four mana. You guys can pass yours to me when I draft!

bulletd Guidelines:

5.0: I will take this card no matter what. Creature 1 or playable 1 or hate 1. Domri Rade
4.5: Bomb and splashable. Creature 1-2, playable 1-2, removal 1. Obzedat, Ghost Council
4.0: Excellent first pick first pack, will sway me into same colors. Creatures 1-4, removal 1. Rubblehulk
3.5: Excellent first pack pick two, will confirm colors or possibly sway into second color. Ground Assault
3.0: Good in-color addition, or splashable removal/creature. Creatures 3-9, removal 1-3. Kingpin's Pet
2.5: Solid pick in-color; creatures 5-12, removal 3-5. Mugging
2.0: Creatures 10-16; removal 6-7. Act of Treason
1.5: My 23rd or 22nd card, depending on removal. Gutter Skulk
1.0: 23rd card if I don't maindeck an additional land. Mental Vapors
0.5: This card will sometimes be sideboarded in. Shattering Blow
0.0: I will shred this card for counters. Frenzied tilling

This is what I did.

Dropped it turn 4
Turn 5 equipped with Gift. I now have a 7/7 flying lifelinker on turn 5. It very quickly ended the game.

That doesn't seem that bad in limited for a guild that isn't straight aggro.

That's what I meant.
He's dead in 3 turns, given that he doesn't draw an answer and was still at 20 life.

Again, gift of Orzhov is a great card. It's an uncommon. It does not meaningfully impact my analysis of alms beast . It goes well on many creatures.
