Recently, one of the players in group made a Phelddagrif deck. This deck is awesome, in the fact that it gives everyone access to pretty much everything they want but he keeps just enough answers to keep the absolutely ridiculous in check. With that in mind, I want to create a deck that rides this deck, keeping it in check while keeping the others in check. So I developed the idea of making an anti-Phelddagrif deck. Hence, the title. So why did I choose Wydwen, the Biting Gale for this task? Several reasons. Firstly, I should explain that I consider myself a member of the Simic Combine. I look to play blue and/or green whenever I can. But a few years back, say original Ravnica block, I would've considered myself a member of House Dimir. So I'd say the first reason is a bit of nostalgia. Trying to recreate or rechannel "old me". The second reason is that I've tried many times to have a Voltron commander, and each time(sans my original) failed spectacularly. I like Wydwen because she can fit this goal, but be a little tricky about it. I can hold her out of the game until she's ready. Or I can bait out removal. The final reason I chose Wydwen is because I have the card, and it means one less that I have to pick up. So it's going to play the permission game and bide it's time until all is right for a one shot kill. Commander-1 Wydwen, the Biting Gale Creatures-12 Snapcaster Mage Vendilion Clique Solemn Simulacrum Phyrexian Metamorph Venser, Shaper Savant Sower of Temptation Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir Dralnu, Lich Lord Chainer, Dementia Summoner Duplicant Draining Whelk Palinchron Enchantments-3 Rhystic Study No Mercy Treachery Planeswalkers-3 Jace, Architect of Thought Jace, Memory Adept Liliana Vess Artifact-9 Sensei's Divining Top Sol Ring Talisman of Dominance Runechanter's Pike Chromatic Lantern Loxodon Warhammer Sword of Fire and Ice Sword of War and Peace Oblivion Stone Sorcery-8 Ancestral Vision Chainer's Edict Demonic Tutor Deep Analysis Damnation Barter in Blood Beacon of Unrest Decree of Pain Instant-27 Pact of Negation Mystical Tutor Vampiric Tutor Arcane Denial Trickbind Counterspell Twincast Capsize Spell Crumple Hinder Forbid Undermine Sudden Death Cryptic Command Fact or Fiction Mystical Teachings Reins of Power Rewind Dismiss Memory Plunder Desertion Evacuation Force of Will Misdirection Hatred Spin into Myth Time Stop Spelljack Lands-37 Command Tower Underground Sea Watery Grave Sunken Ruins Underground River Polluted Delta Flooded Strand Misty Rainforest Scalding Tarn Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth Cephalid Colliseum Bojuka Bog Cabal Coffers Reliquary Tower Phyrexian Tower 11 Swamp 11 Island

What is your main way to do damage? I don't see many high power creatures in there. May I suggest Bloodgift Demon , Rune-Scarred Demon , Grave Titan , Frost Titan , and Consecrated Sphinx ?

The idea is not to beat every player. Just to hold back until the players start eliminating each other and then flash in Wydwen with a Hatred/Runechanter's Pike for the win. There are other means like Reins of Power.
