Hey guys, remember Frogmite  ? Remember how 2/2s for 0 mana that you can start dropping on turn 2 are actually really, really, really, really, really good? Well they're back! Also: Restoration Angel needed another target with ETB effects.

Yeah, but there are 2 things that differ:
1: This can't be played turn 1.
2: There's no "affinity for creatures" mechanic that lets you chain this into a turn 1 4/4.

I like the fixing aspect of this card. Chaining it into a Lightning Mauler in Naya Humans with a turn 1 Champion of the Parish sounds ideal. (Shocklands willing). I could also see it in ramp as a way to get more broad presence while you're farseek  ing

This doesn't say Naya to me. You could read this as RR for a 2/2 Human that adds 1R when it comes into play. Where would I run it? Boros Humans. 4 x Champion of the Parish  4 x Mikaeus, the Lunarch  4 x Reckless Waif  4 x Lightning Mauler I'm seeing something starting here. Withe the new boros cards, we are bound to get a good 1R human that combos well with this. You can also run some 1R burn too.

I don't think there are any cards like that.
There are things that prevent you from activating activated abilities, things that increase their cost, and things that counter them, but I don't think anything triggers from them specifically.
There are things that trigger from targeting, so that might be relevant, but I can't think of anything that triggers from targeting a player.
I'm almost positive there's nothing that triggers from damage being prevented.

The 2 mana in limited is usually going to be miniscule usefulness because you want to drop this guy on turn 2. unless you have a hand full of 2-drops which in limited is rarely good because when your opponent whips out his 5/4 roar-beast you going to cry because you out of tricks and he sitting with 5 cards in hand to your none...
That aside, neat card.
