being attacked with pride of the lions boosted by titanic ultimatum blocking with gloom surgeon what would the end result be. Thanks for any help

If the attacking player chooses to use pride of lions ' ability, all 9 damage is assigned to the defending player. If not, then the attacking player must assign at least 1 damage to Gloom Surgeon, and can assign the remaining 8 damage divided as he chooses between the surgeon and the defending player. However much damage is assigned to gloom surgeon, that many cards will be exiled instead.
