I have to object about style (not gameplay one). I think that the flavor of this deck is really good. Boros Swiftblade , Skyknight Legionnaire , Hammerfist Giant , Agrus Kos - all of them are telling some story about honor and comrades-in-arms. Gameplay - yes, totally not my style and rather boring.

BoF is horrible in 2HG. It doesn't have the legs to burn enough creatures as support, or to do enough face damage to end the game. You'd have to get a god hand and end up with inferno titan and that wierd bird/chicken/emu thing that's 6/6 (is it called haste or something?) to be able to do enough.
Even raths inferno is risky to play.

I'm actually okay with this deck. Far from my favorite, but my partner and I like to pair it with his CM when we go a more aggro route.
As for PI and BoF...I like BoF, but the deck doesn't like me, often leaving me either starved for mana or flooded with it, and i'm not a fan of PI at all.

With Grinning Malice, it's actually among the top 3 archetypes in 2HG, easily as powerful as Talrand/Izzet. The 1st and 2nd on 360 play it to the exclusion of all else.
Obviously that's only due to force multipliers like Bloodchief Ascension , Pain Magnification , Hissing Iguanar and Chandra's Spitfire , but they're enough to tip it over the edge, each giving you that nice little extra per cast.
Fair play, but i am yet to come across that combo on 360. Infact, apart from two games where my (random) team-mate knew what he was doing, every game of 2HG i play leaves me banging my head against a wall. 90 cards in deck, some of the stupidest plays ever and people not passing on their go. Yesterday i had a team mate who was playing AW and kept bouncing a wolf briar elemental instead of searching his library for a thragtusk (as we were getting pounded by an unblockable giest of st traft). I wanted to pull my face off!!
Anyway, that was off topic, sorry about that

I have used GM and BoF a few times and its really good indeed. Your opponents are on their back foot the whole time. Pain Magnification lives up to its name.

AoW and goblins is not bad in 2hg actually. Not top tier but not bad by any means. Rally is at its best with goblins.

After reading the title of this tread, before even logging in I decided to treat it as a challenge! So I've messaged !Flush (minddrifter) and proposed we play 5 games in random 1v1 lobbies and share our results. If anyone is curious we'll post builds, I've also taken the screen shots. So here are the results: Game 1: AoW vs SaS, results AoW wins, highlights Brightflame takes out Murkfiend Liege , Momir Vig, Simic Visionary , Coiling Oracle and a Simic Sky Swallower * which was down to 3 toughness after blocking. Also Basandra, Battle Seraph forced him afterwards into suicidal attacks. Opponent quit out on me as I was about to kill him. Game 2: AoW vs GP, results AoW wins, highlights Scourge of the Nobilis and Boros Guildmage allowed me to deal plenty of damage and recover life while 3 of my other creatures were under Pillory of the Sleepless . Opponent this time quit out on me again before I was about to swing for lethal. Game 3: AoW vs CL, results AoW wins, highlights Felidar Sovereign was sure to ruin my streak, but with Scourge of the Nobilis on Boros Recruit and enough mana to boost dealt with it. Was a long game and a lot of life for each, eventually my Basandra, Battle Seraph forced all bad attacks, and Balefire Dragon dealt with all the cat tokens. Once again opponent quit out on me before I the lethal damage result. Game 4: AoW vs AS, results AoW wins, highlights Scourge of the Nobilis kept me long enough to do Brightflame twice, first clearing all opponents white creatures, then all blue creatures, including a Invisible Stalker with Daybreak Coronet and again Basandra, Battle Seraph forced through the last of the damage. Opponent didn't quit this time, was a very good game. Game 5: AoW vs ED, results AoW wins, was pretty much one sided, with Intimidation Bolt taking out a Knight of Glory with Spirit Mantle after that it was a quick finish. Opponent didn't quit and stuck through like a champ.
Final thoughts, in 2hg this deck is incredible with GG, or PK. In 1v1 this deck can hold it's own quite well as you see, now we'll see what !Flush has to report! I personally don't like calling any deck weak, because you never know what may happen in a game and surely as you see from just a few games of 1v1 the results speak for themselves and all the opponents ran 60-61 card builds.

How did you get a creature with Wither or Infect into AoW?

I also played 5 games and went 3-2. I cannot remember the details as well as my friend Pscyho/4n0th1n9, but I do have the decks I was playing against. The 2 games I did lose I had to mull down to 6 cards to get a hand that wasn't missing mana/all mana. Even then both games were quite close. Game 1: AoW vs. SaS: A battle between the 2 Deck Pack 1 decks. I got off to a fast start and he never really had a chance. AoW blew this one away. Game 2: AoW vs. GG: I actually didn't feel too bad about this one and for good reason. GG could not keep up with my lifegain and flying/FS. Another strong victory. Game 3: AoW vs. OD: This was another close one and if it wasn't for a Mull down to 6 putting me one turn behind I would have had this. That or the opponent's topdecking of Griselbrand . Still a loss though. Game 4: AoW vs. OD: I had to get my revenge. He pulled out every trick and destroy in the book but I came out fast and with a well placed Sunblast Angel I won the game in the end. A close game. Game 5: AoW vs. SS: I had to mull down to 6 once again and once again it was a very close game but I just barely couldn't get the win being a card down. A good game, but alas my 2nd loss. All games were also vs. 60-61 card decks. It's been a really good day for random players. I also agree with Psycho that no deck is weak. Some decks have bad matchups, and some decks have 1 or 2 more bad matchups than others...but no deck is bad if built and played right. Together we went 8-2 with a 80% win rate and against some of the "top" decks in the game. I don't play 2HG, but no deck is bad in 2HG...it all depends on what it is paired with. Much like bad matchups, some decks have a couple more good pairings than other decks in 2HG. That doesn't make one deck that much better or worse than another.
