ITS TIME. Look I get it, people need structure. BUT, a custom deck build option would put this game on top. Even if you just let us mix and match cards from the released pre-made decks. In a perfect world there would be all cards in magic, in the game. You play to get points, and spend points to get cards from in game store, then make personalized decks to play with. BUT. If you cant do that at least let us mix all the decks cards together. I would like everyone to give me there opinion on this, and any awesome deck builds you could make. I would definetly make a legit counter burn bounce deck.

For simplicity, I just wish they'd allow you to use 1-4 cards of any they list as allowable from the deck.  E.g. 4 nekretaal in OD instead of 1.

and also, I want access to the land amount choices.

The second is the more important of the two, IMO.

i want DP with

4 crabs
4 jace's 1/1 flyer
4 counterspell
4 counter + draw
then I'd build it from there.

I don't want to bluff counters, I actually want them in my hand.  Same way all of the black decks can have creature removal in their hand, every game.

too lazy to look up card names right now.

P.s.: would anyone else run 4 Ulvenwald trackers? I know I would.

I'd even pay extra for the option.  Like $10 for the "pro builder" or something.

This is a pipe dream. First, this game is entry level Magic. They have an advanced computer version already which has everything you're looking for and more called MTG Online. Mixing and matching cards from the different deck in the game would create far too much of an advantage for experienced players and deck builders to the point where it becomes a barrier of entry to players new to magic (the primary target demographic). Also, allowing 4 of every card on the system, in addition to the problems listed above, would make for really boring decks with little variety. The developers only put a certain number of each card in each deck for multiple reasons. First, They wanted to balance the strengths of the decks relative to one another so that certain decks don't just run over everything while others become unplayable. They also want you to experience a variety of cards rather than just running 4 copies of the 9 strongest cards, making for boring games, repetitive builds (through netdecking and other means of stealing builds), and inexperience with lower-mid quality cards like most "commons," creating an unrealistic view of Magic in new players minds along with decks they could never afford to actually build IRL as well as giving those new players zero knowledge of what kinds of cards to expect if they ever wanted to, for example, play a draft IRL. Those are my thoughts. You are welcome to disagree on some points if you feel so inclined, but trust me, the changes you want to see will NEVER happen in DotP...

I agree... Like I said, the land thing is the more important of the two for me, and I don't think it would break the game for newcommers.

BTW, how good is MTG online?  Anyone play it?  It seems to me like it would be a huge money sink, maybe even worse than the actual paper game.

I bought MTG online earlier this year because of my love of DOTP, and I spent some money on cards.  I haven't even opened it in 6 months.  For me the interface is terrible, and the single greatest dealbreaker is that the cards look terrible (I love looking at the card art and you can't zoom on the cards in MTG online).  The interface requires a fairly steep learning curve and is very difficult to use.  And it frankly looks like it was designed in the mid-90s.

However, here are some counterpoints to what I just said:
1. they have a new interface that I haven't used yet so maybe my objections have been answered.  I read an article about it and there has certainly been some improvement.  I haven't tried it yet (because frankly the old interface was so bad it would require a complete overhaul to satisfy me).

2. it is definitely cheaper than paper magic.  Buying deck packs and boosters is the same price, but there is a strong online trading system implemented with it that allows you to get cards very cheaply (of course, it is also very difficult to use).

3. it is very powerful, allows full deck building, and has tons of features.  The coolest feature is that you can watch other matches between players, including sometimes players using legacy decks.  This is probably the feature that I used the most with this program, it is very interesting - maybe by itself even worth the 10 dollars even if you don't buy new cards.

Jalamdhara said it all perfectly, there is no need for this level of customization here. Just give me more decks with a few more unlocks and i'll be happy.

Would it be too much were I to say that we even "heart" boobies?

Innuendo, yes, but I'm also serious. I've played against and with Boobies on psn a few times.
Good player. Good attitude.
Both attributes are welcome here.
