I still haven't managed to get playing much real Magic again. >.>

I used to spend a lot of time playing against myself in MWhacky Spaceship, but I've finally decided that the software for that is basically falling apart as more and more sets are added, so now I just play a bunch of DotP. Less creativity, but at least I get the depth of having an opponent that isn't me!

Negativity aside, I am really enjoying the Izzet deck in that game. Also Chandra's deck. I love just how many phoenix's they managed to fit in there. Also, I've played way too much Planechase.

Oh yeah, and I'm actually going to a Gatecrash prerelease probably. Progress! Also, pretty excited to visit Card Kingdom for the first time. It's taken me a year and a half of living in Seattle to finally check out the city's fanciest card shop, but I think I'm prepared now.

Of course, this wouldn't be a CommanderJim post if I didn't at some point acknowledge how long and rambly it is.

P.S. At the prerelease, I'll be playing Simic, or Dimir or Orzhov or Boros or Gruul, in that order. I'd probably be happy with any of them though, to be honest. I am somewhat easily pleased. What are everyone else's choices?

I've got two decks I play in casual, a Dragon tokens that has a tendency to get ridiculous quite quickly, and a Precursor Golem deck which gets pulled out when we need to annoy someone, especially since it has the ability to go infinite on the tokens through a rather complicated set up. It generally requires a couple others to play defense, but when you really want to make someone mad... It is quite fun to out grief the griefers. My other deck is an all legends EDH championed by Child of New Alara, and then the bWG tokens I run for FNM.

I don't play much. I have an Artificer's Intuition and a Runechanter's Pike deck. I want to reword the second one.
Also considering building a Martyr-Proclamation deck, as I already have a playset of Ajani Vengeant and Runed Halo. Just to curbstomp every aggro deck out there.

I don't play Magic as often as I'd like, because of lack of opponents (and I'm not social enough to just sit at my local gameshop and hope for games).

I've got a couple of decks that I semi-regularly play. My favorite deck is a mono-Blue control list that uses Calcite Snapper for early board control and offense (and it gives me a good reason to play Deprive ) and uses Sphinx of Jwar Isle to clean up. The rest of the deck is counter spells , bounce and other ways of shutting creatures down . It was actually a pretty decent budget deck for Standard back when everything in it was legal.

And I've recently put together an Izzet / Talrand deck, which is one of my faster decks. I love it because it digs through the deck with draw/discard spells, which always gives you the tools you need.

And I have a terrible Momir Vig -EDH deck.

If I played more, I'd probably have more decks. I enjoy building decks, especially if I can find nice little synergies, but if they're not getting played I don't find it worth the effort.

Edit: @Beast: I also had a Luminarch Ascenscion -deck, but it was so boring to play and play against that I dismantled it. It was a sure-fire win, though.

I don't play much, either, again for lack of players :/ Although my girlfriend and I play occasionally, when we're not distracted by other things.

I currently am down to just one deck, a Simic deck with a bunch of Gilder Bairn s that drives everyone else crazy. I am naturally quite excited for the stupidity that is New Simic. :P

Oh! Wait, I do have one other deck--it's an I Planeswalker deck. Remember that format? It's a red-blue Goblin deck and it's completely absurd. It's designed to reach a certain critical mass where I end up drawing half my deck and generating a ridiculous number of goblin tokens in one turn. I'm... pretty sure it's broken in this format, actually. >_>

I miss I Planeswalker. That was a fun way to play. :P

Oh, and my sister, who borrows my cards, has an Orzhov deck. Again, the new cards from Gatecrash are going to be very fun to add in. She's got oodles of lifegain and lifedrain.

Control decks eat me alive because my primary wincons are Vampire Nocturnus and Bloodline Keeper (last night I said "I tap Keeper" and then I cringed a bit :P ) and those suck against Sw ee p.d ec , but I got some inspiration last night to add some Appetite for Brains to my 75 and a pair of Runechanter's Pike s to my board because my yard is full of kill spells and discard by the late game and most of my dudes are evasive, so anything I play will be a threat from then on.

Also, two kids at the shop last night told me I was their favorite person there.

Ahahahaha.

Man, I forgot Appetite for Brains was a card. That's hilariously sick.

No offense Keeper, I'm sure you're a beautiful book-headed manthing.
I just prefer newsprint is all.
It's not you, it's me.

It's so good right now; even the aggro decks run 4 drops!

I'm glad this thread is nothing BUT off-topic, because quite honestly I don't know where to bring this up.

So I'm already noticing several people interested in Ravnican-based forum games here (which, quite honestly surprised me with how dead things were and with Skibo missing). My point here is that I had been hoping to to get the community gathered to create a traditional voting game in time for Dragon's Maze. This after I released a normal voting game based around M13. The same one I started working on a year ago, after Yanmato and my game on M12.

So the point I'm trying to make here ireal would people still be interested in traditional voting game for Dragon's Maze, even after Cato's one and eddned's not-quite-voting game.

And if I put out a more generic voting game in between then and now, even if there is enough time between now and then, will people even be interested in it? Or will I have to hold on to it until M14, when the legendaries I'm basing around may be removed or swapped out?

So, yeah; please feedback thank you.

All I know is that this place would be a lot steamier if we went in full body.
And I'd blame Keeper for it.
