This could be a card, a set, a particular product, an experience, a fan-creation, or forum post (anything MTG-related, really) that tickled your fancy in a grand way this year.
For me, it was the simple act of playing cards with some friends I'd not played with in several months. That I hadn't really played Magic at all in that time made the experience that much sweeter. Made me realize the value in this game, in bringing people together for some laughs and bonding.

Chunking a 22/21 lotleth troll with Jarad's ability for a win :D
Also playing with my friends. Even if I lose I always make some laughs because I normally go "Well I've I am going down, I am taking something with me" which I normally kill something right before I die :D

After my 4-0 at a prerelease we went to the Burger King across the street and I found that they have these awesome drink machines where you can customize the flavor of your soda. Best magic related happening for me.
