Artifacts? No.
Creature-Artifacts? Yes.

To clarify, technically all permanents have summoning sickness but they only care about it when they are creatures. A common example is Rakdos Keyrune . As an artifact you can tap it for the turn it comes into play. However, if you pay and turn it into a creature on the turn it comes into play, it will not be able to attack (or tap for mana, which is interesting) until your next upkeep.
Standard Pauper! (play it on MTGO)

Actually, this is technically false. It is true only from a common sense point of vue. The summoning sickness rule applies only to creatures. Period. Applying it to non-creature permanents is inappropriate, although some people believe it makes it easier to explain.
A visit at the summoning sickness doctor: Are you a creature? -No. --Then you are not sick. -Er, I meant yes. --Have you been controlled by the same player since the turn began? ---Yes. ----Then you are not sick. ---Yes, but I wasn't a creature the whole time. ----Then you are still not sick. ---Actually, I meant no, I just entered the Battlefield. (or, No, I just changed controller) ----Do you have Haste? -----Yes. ------Then you are not sick. -----And if I don't have Haste? ------OK, then you are sick.

if we take MTGO as some sort of standard he'd be right that tracks Summoning Sickness for all permanents, creature or not (so you know which one to animate, for example)
but since nothing in the rules cares about the summoning sickness of non-creatures it's a moot point

Come to think of it, my «Visit at the summoning sickness doctor» is flawed; it contains one serious mistake. Shame on me! Can you find it?

For a creature (without Haste) that you just played on your most recent turn, your Q&A yields the wrong answer if it's your opponent's turn.
