I mention Golgari Charm for versatility as well. It can prevent board wipes, Piked Snapcasters/Spirits, and knock out Detention Spheres and Omniscience. People are taking advantage of all of this focus on creature removal.

I seriously think there are 2 decks I'm "comfortable" playing right now in any meta WUR Midrange/ UW Flash or Jund Midrange.

yes, this is exactly the "camp" i'm in.  i can't justify trying to play anything else.

Blue is the best color ever.  How do you deal?

I wish more people thought UW flash should be played. I'd enjoy some easy wins.

I mean, UWR "flash".  straight UW doesn't cut it anymore.

even still, UWR isn't perfect at all, but it has a lot of play to it, which is nice.

otherwise, i've been liking jund because it feels pretty well rounded.

I have had a relatively good amount of success playing Naya recently. *shrug*

Interested to see Simic and Gruul stuff come GTC, wondering if some sort of or Bant flash deck could become viable. Wolfir Avenger and Alchemist's Refuge are both already good cards, and I think Yeva, Nature's Herald seems like she could have some useful applications given the right support as well. Kind of wish Cavern of Souls didn't exist, otherwise a Mystic Snake reprint would be pretty sweet for something like this.

"I have existed from the morning of the world and I shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although I have taken the form of Gaius Caligula, I am all men as I am no man and therefore I am a God."

sigh... if only we could....

stupid cavern, cavern is such a poorly designed card it's disgusting.  it really is something ruining the 'balance' of the game.

Dude, Mystic Snake would be good EVEN WITH CAVERN IN STANDARD. You have no idea how psyched I would be to have Surprise Snake in Modern.
Really think that more control decks should be playing Ghost Quarter though, not only for Caverns but for the Drownyard mirrors.
Naya is decent, but the mana can really kill you sometimes. Its kind of like playing GW decks without Temple Gardens.

lol at this obvious statement. Doesn't mean it isn't a pain to play against though.

And B_F, I dislike Jund because its well rounded. I'd rather have a deck with a focus that it does well at instead of only going halfway with everything. And it really just lacks a lot of power for my liking.

I like Naya good stuff.dec more personally. Even with the weaker manabase.
