Typo. Underpowered set is underpowered.

Thanks for the responses.

As of now I think I am going with

1. Antiquities - Urza Block - Mirrodin - Scars of Mirrodin.

2. Kamigawa - Innistrad (and this one needs to be small in the number of sets to "help" all those Kamigawa cards that are underpowered if I throw in a bunch of, say, Lorwyn).

3. Invasion -  Shadowmoor - Ravnica - Return to Ravnica (multicolored theme)

4. I am going to try New Phyrexia Infect with some Urza and Shadowmoor and see what happens too.

You forgot Alara on the multicolored theme. Also, it's a small theme in Fifth Dawn, but it's there.

what?

do you ceremonially light your deck on fire after a win?

I think the most awkward situation at the moment is simply the Myr Welder / Equipment / Licid / Aura craziness, but I'm pretty sure he's aware of it.

If the most awkward thing going on right now involves Licids, I declare victory.

I don't think there are any cards like that.

There are things that prevent you from activating activated abilities, things that increase their cost, and things that counter them, but I don't think anything triggers from them specifically.

There are things that trigger from targeting, so that might be relevant, but I can't think of anything that triggers from targeting a player.

I'm almost positive there's nothing that triggers from damage being prevented.

Rings of Brighthearth ; Dormant Gomazoa ; Samite Ministration .

Any multicolor set is fun with Zendikar, mostly because landfall with all that land-fetching.

Thanks, I wil add some Odyseey into the Kami/ISD mix I am brewing.

Can you expand on your time spiral comment? I am a new player and am struggling to figure out where to place it in the block combos. Do you mean by mechanics that it works well with blocks that have original mechanics?
