Since the movie's opening soon, I thought it might be fun to come up with a deck based on the book. This may be a challenge, since there is no Halfling or Hobbit creature subtype, but I think you guys can figure something out.

As before, it should be playable, if not necessarily competitive. Good luck and have fun!

4 x Cenn's Heir
4 x Goldmeadow Stalwart
4 x Knight of Meadowgrain

Okay, then, where's your decks for the theme?

Here's mine, limited to Standard, because there's way, way, way too many different elves to pick from in Modern and Legacy. Can your opponent make it through Mirkwood Forest like Bilbo and the Dwarves did?

Journey Through Mirkwood

22 x Creatures
4 x Deadly Recluse
4 x Sentinel Spider
4 x Korozda Guildmage
2 x Golgari Decoy
4 x  Elvish Archdruid
4 x  Yeva's Forcemage

14 x Spells
4 x Fog
4 x  Cower in Fear
2 x  Eaten by Spiders
2 x Giant Growth
2 x Harrowing Journey

24 x Lands
4 x Overgrown Tomb
4 x Golgari Guildgate
6 x Swamp
10 x Forest
