Remand is another good example of an incredible tempo card
first you'd think (I know I did ) "useless, they get their spell back" but when you consider that it cantrips (it replaces itself with the draw) so you have no card disadvantage and you run a deck that can deal with their spell later you begin to see the use

look up the "Delver Decks" of last season to see a more recent example of a dedicated tempo deck

the point is, you don't need to stop your opponent, you just need to slow him down enough to finish him
