Wanted to get people opinions on this since it seems to be showing up more and more often in peoples SB's, and it actually seems like decent tech.

Curse of Echoes .

Neuters counterspells, makes opponents more wary of using removal, seems super sweet against Sphinx's Revelation and Rakdos's Return .

It's an okay card but it gains power when people aren't expecting it. When people know it's a thing they will be able to prepare. The card isn't extremely strong in raw power which makes it bad compared to other cards in the format.

This is exactly how I describe most of your decks.

Luckily I work hard to help you fix them.

I mean it's cute and all, but I dunno. They drop this and than you Hellkite them. I figure people would just play around or counter it. I mean there are going to be some spells that don't even care (ex. Supreme Verdict.)

You're already wrong because you wouldn't board this in against decks running hellkite.

You can basically win control matchups by playing this card and it resolving.

I was thinking American Tempo. I mean it has counters, burn, and Sphinx's Rev along with Thundermaw. Granted I've tested zero with the card, but I was thinking of the "hot" deck right now and how it SB's against it.

No, that is the wrong aplication of this card. It's good against control decks and that's it.

Well, I guess my evaluation of the card is meta dependant. I haven't been seeing a lot of control. I'll probably board one in the next few weeks to test.
