Awesome write-up report. Great to see that a minimium of rares can still make for a fun commander deck. On a side note, I played my first Commander game, using my Devour for Power deck straight out of the box. The Mimeoplasm ended up scaring another player enough that he was immediately spell crumple d and shuffled into my library, and I never saw my general the rest of the game. On the other hand, everyone else's generals were dispatched quickly as well. I played cool and slow. My Eldrazi was stolen from me, but a Pestilence Demon took out the player who stole it from me. Unfortunately, the owner of the demon was too overzealous, and left himself with too little health, so when the 10/9 Eldrazi ended up under my control again, his creatures were all tapped, and he was at 8 health... Score a victory for the newbie! Just goes to show that even one of the out-of-the box decks can be fun to play. As can a Ghave deck with mostly commons and uncommons.

Cool deck; I prefer EDH played this way, instead of trying to combo out on turn 4. Ido think it's begging for a Craterhoof Behemoth, to give you an opportunity to insta-win out of nowhere, though.

Even though you didn't mention me by name, thanks for boosting my ego Stybs. XD If you want another ludicrous idea now that you're allowing a few more rares into the pile: Dark Mike . EVERYBODY GETS UNDYING!! XD I have more ideas too, but they're all outside of standard. =p
******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Post #777

Nice deck, Predator Ooze and/or Primordial Hydra would fit well with this deck.
Have you read Ishmael? "Teacher seeks pupil, must have an earnest desire to save the world."

Is it just me, or does Adam remind anyone else of a Viking?
