This is an idea for a line of 60-card and perhaps 100-card preconstructed decks centered around legendary cards, be they artifacts or creatures, even land. Since there are so many legendary cards out there and more are made with each passing set, this topic allows and encourages anyone and everyone who posts in here to suggest legendary decks of their very own.

I think my and my favorate legends will stick with Commander/EDH.  Outside of a singleton format, you're just building a random effiecent deck around a powerful card/set of cards.

And that's not much different than normal deck construction for casual play.

Things can certainly be varied though to fit more the theme; I did it with the legends in the 10th Edition Precons. I have a Kamahl, Pit Fighter deck thats all fast mana and atatck, but with the same drawback's Kamahl has. Things like Elemental Appeal and Spitebellows . It's fun and explosive, but not as efficient as a traditional red deck wins because of how it's built. I think if you focus on really building around the legend (and using less popular/powerful ones) it can be a fun creative challaenge that ends up with a satisfying deck.

Does your Kamahl deck run Scythe of the Wretched

I like doing this with planeswalkers instead of legends. For example, I made a mono-black vampire deck based around Sorin Markov . Then as Sorin, Lord of Innistrad was revealed, I felt inclined to make a B/W lifelinking deck around him. The same is true for many of the other 'walkers, which is why I like the planeswalker duel-deck series.

It takes more effort than I'm willing to give to make these kinds of decks, with all of the legends out there.

I like to build theme decks around Legends or Planeswalkers too, however, I usually build them into 60 card singleton decks. I find its a nice alternative to EDH, but a lot simpler. I had a Boros war deck built around Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran which was a really fun deck (I took it apart awhile ago otherwise I'd post it).

EDIT: Actually, I take what I said back. Commander decks are a perfectly fine example of Legend decks.

Cho-Manno

1 x Cho-Manno, Revolutionary

2 x Fountain of Cho
20 x Plains
2 x Remote Farm

2 x Ballista Squad
2 x Cho-Arrim Bruiser
4 x Ramosian Captain
2 x Ramosian Commander
4 x Ramosian Lieutenant
4 x Ramosian Sergeant
1 x Ramosian Sky Marshal

4 x Cho-Manno's Blessing
1 x Coat of Arms
1 x Crackdown
4 x Inviolability
4 x Moment of Silence

Sideboard

4 x Defiant Falcon
4 x Defiant Vanguard
4 x Steadfast Guard

Still looking for a rare and a few sideboard cards.

Bound in Silence is really good I think; it's a tutorable Pacifism at instant speed with a lot of your guys. Good, on theme removal.
