They were actually more ... selective, with may = must than actually fixing it. I was impressed that there were as many may=/= must cards as there are, but there are still almost as many that are still not working properly...

It hasn't been "cracked down on" so much as it's been explained as a design choice by the Duels team to make the game flow as smoothly as possible. In many cases, "may" or "must" differences are very minor in the overall play of the game, and in some cases the decision was made to eliminate a choice that would result in clicking "yes" 99.9% of the time. This is my own opinion, but in the case of Momir Vig, Simic Visionary you'd rarely want to skip the chance to put a creature of your choice on the top of your library. This isn't some kind of blanket policy set in stone, and the Duels team weighs these choices on a card-by-card basis as they try to fine tune the card and player interaction aspects of the game.

Their whole attitude toward this game is still pretty lazy, hey. But at least it's getting better. I wonder how many editions until they give this game the respect it deserves.

On almost all occassions that I get momir into play I end up with a full hand very quickly, but I still want to be able to cast a creature spell with the last of my mana without being forced to discard.
wouldn't it be less work for the team if they just gave us the choices we deserve? win-win i say.

The may part only applies to the tutor effect, not the card draw. Does the game not allow you to decline the tutor by simply canceling out?

Yeah, there have been times were I wanted to draw more mana but could not because of the effect. Sean, an Oracle of Mul Daya and a Venser's Journal could fix this issue. *wink* *wink*

Definitely a problem. You want to skip Momir's first effect alot more often than some might think. After all, once you have a certain amount of creatures in your hand, it's time to draw lands instead to allow multiple cards to be used and to allow more expensive cards to be used.

My solution to these problems is always the options menu. Let advanced players toggle an option to make their experience what they want it to be. All games need more options!
