I just built an artifact cube with mostly Mirrodin and Scars of Mirrodin artifacts, with a few ISD artifacts thrown in for good measure.

Can someone knowledgeable in Modern play explain the merits of the abilities (sunburst, affinity, modular especially). I know affinity is the one that gets tournament play and it seems that the other two do not. Is that the case? Why is sunburst not as popular as affinity? The modular ability reads like scavenge in Golgari RTR.
