With two consecutive GP wins it seems BR aggro is in the driver seat of the format currently. With GW aggro, UW Flash and Bant Control following in behind. Who can unseat He Who Rides Hell and his minions?
Counterspells seems a bad place to be right now but are quite necessary against the Control decks. This put the U/W/x Flash/Tempo decks in an awkward spot.
Ofcourse the format looks totally different in comparison to the SCG circuit.
IS Rakdos Aggro the measuring stick of current standard or just a flash in the pan....for the last two weeks? Let us discuss this wishy washy format...

It's definitely the AGGRO deck, but far from THE deck, evidenced by its lack of Thragtusk , Snapcaster Mage or Restoration Angel .

With Aristocrat and Thundermaw Hellkite it doesn't seem to worried about either 3 of those creatures. Not to mention the excessively fast draws the deck can have with some 1 drops and Hellriders.

Clearly, you've never played B/r aggro against Bant.

Yeah, turn 3 Centaur Healer, turn 4 Restoration Angel, Turn 5 Thragtusk makes me cry every time. I had a guy Mull to 5 just so he could have a Healer + Angel in hand.
BR Aggro just punishes decks that have slow starts, and punishes players who keep bad hands harder.

Oh no, I have played many matchups of BR aggro with my Bant Control and my record against them is rather solid in my favor. I just figured with this new build that has won the last two North American GPs that maybe they may be slightly favored given that most Bant COntrol don't pack Healers and few Restoration Angels is all. Makes me think my Bant Control deck is still my better option. @ Anubuss....BR aggro may be right for my FNM atleast then. My area is full of people that believe in just going with the flow and keep downright unplayable hands all the time.

It doesn't fold to thragtusk because it's not all-in aggro. It has a solid lategame of thundermaw, aristocrat, hellrider, and zealous conscripts. It beats lifegain by just going bigger, so as to ignore it. It's become less aggro and more midrange.

Thats exactly what I was trying to say. The deck just goes over the top of the Control Decks and Flash just has a hard time because of the CoS and power level of the threats. It seems that most the time the deck could kill a player before Sphinx's Revelation even really matters. If BR aggro is worried about certain cards there is slaughter games to solve certain problems.

Not to double post but I had to say it. I was right with Slaughter Games naming Thragtusk, the decks that rely on their Thragtusks for lifegain just lose big if you get one in time. Its like how Memoricide was in UB Control Worlds 2010. I faced Junk Reanimator a hour ago and won game 1 before he could even blink. Game two I just laid threats and turn 4 named Thragtusk and he promptly lost after that even after a Loxodon Smiter and Unburied Craterhoof Behemoth.

The deck already has a way around tusk, they just beat down in the air.
Also, this isn't like u/b control in worlds 2010, then it was used to beat control mirrors with limited wincons and little redundancy.
