so im playin an all white deck with shadow theme its kewl right? w/e... get to the point. goin againts this guy that uses mimic vat to copy sakura-tribe elder then after some turns, he casts a phantasmal image and copies my priest, so im like no biggie, i got swords to plowshare to exile the image right before it "dies" right? wrong i exile it and he still gets to imprint it.... im like WHOA HOW!?!??!?! the image never died, it didnt go to graveyard it was straight up "removed from the game". now im either really mad at myself cause i dont know my rulings, or some crazy just happened here. anyone clarify this for me please, tnx. P.S. i hate mimic vat

Read the cards before you rant. Phantasmal Image  is sacreficed whenever it's the target of a spell. When you cast Swords to Plowshares  it died before the spell resolved (to get exiled). Also use the Rules Q&A thread for rules questions.

Phantasmal Image gains an additional ability as part of its copy effect: "When this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it." Its ability triggers when you target it with Swords to Plowshares . It is sacrificed, and your Swords to Plowshares does not resolve, because your spell's target is no longer on the battlefield.

Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.
