Elderscale wurm Trample When Elderscale Wurm enters the battlefield, if your life total is less than 7, your life total becomes 7. As long as you have 7 or more life, damage that would reduce your life total to less than 7 reduces it to 7 instead.
My question is: If my opponent has this creature out, and i hit him for 8 combat damage, will he die?
Also: If i use a spell that causes him to lose 7 or more life (not take 7 or more damage), will he die?
Also: If a spell causes him to lose say 3 life (not take 3 damage), will his life be reduced to 4? |

Only if he already has 6 or less life. Otherwise, he will go down to 7 life.

Yes. Life loss is not the same as damage. The Wurm cares only about damage, not life loss.

Yes, his life total will be reduced by 3, because the Wurm only cares about damage, not life loss.

Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.
