A cycle of mongers! Yay multiplayer! I do wonder whether I should have just given them a new creature type though. How nostalgic are people when it comes to the monger creature type? Should I go with somewaht realistic monger names or more abstract? Maybe make a fairly opaque Masques reference? I wonder if each deck should get two of these or just one. Armsmonger   Creature - Humna Wizard  : Target attacking or blocking creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn. Any player may activate this ability as long as they weren’t the last player to activate this ability this turn. 3/2 Bookmonger   Creature - Human Wizard  , discard a card: Each player draws a card. Any player may activate this ability as long as they weren’t the last player to activate this ability this turn. 1/1 Shadowmonger   Creature - Human Wizard Rouge  : Target creature gains shadow until end of turn. Any player may activate this ability as long as they weren’t the last player to activate this ability this turn. Activate (Creatures with shadow can block or be blocked by only creatures with shadow.) 3/1 Meleemonger   Creature - Human Shaman First strike  : Target creature attacks or blocks this turn if able. Any player may activate this ability as long as they weren’t the last player to activate this ability this turn. 2/2 Estatemonger   Creature - Human Druid  : Each player search their library for a basic land and puts that card onto the battlefield tapped. Any player may activate this ability as long as they weren’t the last player to activate this ability this turn. 2/2 Bonus card: Mind Link    Enchantment- Aura Enchant player You and enchanted player both play with your hands revealed. On your own turns you and enchanted player may play cards from each others hands Edit- Bonus bonus card Defensive Measures   Instant Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you and your teammates this turn. “ Raise the bridge, drop the gates, erect the shield wall!”- Commander Dosaji Pava -A simple multiplayer defense card.

I figured the flailing cycle was cool but having them die as soon as they entered the battlefield? Not so much. I designed this as a workaround < br /> < a href="http://community.wizards.com/tpmanw/go/gallery/item/141491493"> < img src="http://images.community.wizards.com/community.wizards.com/user/tpmanw/21b7a286487ae1dd0a6df04a9048aacb.jpg?v=144900" /> < /a> I'm still unsure of what the best stats for this ability would be or whether the first strike is necessary. I think the idea has potential at least. Edit- Apparently my image comes up as a link to Grimgrin on Gatherer? Uh, ok. Ambitious Sell-Sword   Creature - Human Mercenary First strike  Add or remove a +1/+1 counter from Ambitious Sell-Sword. Any player may activate this ability. 1/1 Edit- reduced the stats

Can i name two of the sets? I was thinking Tricky Business for     . Alternatively Subtle, um I dunno Subtle Maneuvers? and Eve of Destruction for     . Impending Doom might work too. Also am I the only one who remembers this thread?

I'm here. I'll be back to edit this post in a minute. I'm just posting so I don't forget. I appreciate your persistence, TP. Okay. Thanks for your patience. Armsmonger seems too complicated in combat. Bookmonger is cool. Textmonger or Libermonger or Cuneimonger could also be names instead of Book. I don't really care though. Shadowmonger is maybe a little complicated but totally badass. Meleemonger has a cheesy name that is super wet. Estatemonger is dumb cool. That one does need a better name though. For real. Can we cost Mindlink at   - I just think that in these four colour decks 1CC cards should be few and far between. I don't like Defensive Measures. ASS is okay, but I think you're getting a little carried away with your Mongerluv. You should run a Mongercontest though. Maybe for a new white one? I dunno, or we could just think of one.
Whiny weenie and observant aren't the same thing pablo, somehow I thought you'd understand.

I'm good with recosting Mindlink. It seems like a double blue effect but if it's going into a 4 color deck there's probably not much way around it. Yeah, I got a crazy idea to try and name all my mongers after things that people would actually be mongering. Results have been mixed. Of all the replacement names you came up with aI like Cuneimonger best. I don't have a very good replacement for the white monger at the moment unfortunately. I supouse giving out first strike would be just as unmanageable? Unfortunately I don't have time to run a contest right now so I will have to get back to you on that one. Edit- rename estatemonger huh? Properymonger? Acerage, grounds? Landmonger might be too meta. Seedmonger could work Redit (ReEdit?)- How about the white monger makes 1/1 soldiers for  ? As long as the whole table agrees to coperate it's pretty easy to limit someone to one 1/1 a turn. If that doesn't work out then the tokens cost an arm and a leg anyway. It might even work with  for the tokens.
