If I have Goldnight Redeemer  and someone plays Death Wind  with 5 total mana then is my Angel destroyed? Would this be the same of Aura's that have a negative amount equal to or greater then the target creature?

No... but yes
A creature with 0 or less toughness is put into its owner's graveyard when State-Based Actions are checked (basically, just before everytime someone is allowed to play spells and a few other times). It doesn't count as destruction, though; you can't save a creature by regenerating it if its toughness falls to 0 and it can get rid of indestructible creatures.

Destroyed? no sent to the graveyard? yes there's a difference 704.5f If a creature has toughness 0 or less, it’s put into its owner’s graveyard. Regeneration can’t replace this event.
