Anyway, I don't see why the first card has defender except maybe you really wanted your tribal matters guy to also get as many +1/+1 counters as possible at his mana cost. If tribal decks are going to want to play with him at least let him attack.
Also to get or any other amount of colorless mana to show up just type :#m: ( with # of course being the number you want).
