Have you ever had an idea for a deck that you thought would never work, or would just perform terribly but wanted to try it anyway? Well what was it? Did it surprise you with how well it ended up performing or did it fall flat like you expected?
The Landless Deck. When Extended first debuted, I came up with an idea for an Extended legal landless deck. I've been tinkering with it for years, though it is only legal in Type I these days, or maybe 1.5, not sure. It's kinda janky, but when it works it is a thing of beauty to watch.

I absolutely love coming up with decks that are horrible in a number of different ways. I usually never build them unless I already have all or most of the cards for them, though. I did just make a multiplayer red chaos deck that plays Grip of Chaos and Door to Nothingness , among other janky goodness like Worldfire and Warp World .

I like the sound of that, how exactly do you get your mana for a deck like this or is it all 0 cost artifacts?
To rulesinquisitor - That sounds like my kind of deck! I love just causing mayhem in a game and that Worldfire card in particular sounds delicious!

You should never explain layers to people unless one of the following is true: they're studying for a judge exam, you're both in a Ben Affleck movie and it's the only way to save the world, or you hate them.
Occassionally when catering, I've been put the task of arranging Fruit and Cheese or Grilled Vegetable platters. More than once a high class buffet has started with the mark of Phyrexia upon it. Since i've got a good eye for color so it looks great to people who don't get the "joke" (it's a niceley divided circle after all: the outline gives you 4-6 "regions" to work with), this has actually got me put on platter design more often, resulting in Phyrexia's presence at more private and industry events.
