Hmm.. I tend to gravitate towards white, so thats the deck I looked at.
Kind of an interesting deck...its a tribal griffin deck.. yet it really has no benefits for being tribal :D.. so here are some suggestions.
First of all, I am a big fan of White/Blue these days, and since your deck is very flying focused, I think that you could seriously improve it through going W/U instead of mono white.
You mentioned wanting to go standard legal as well... but to do that.. the deck is basically going to have to be rebuilt from the ground up. Very little in the deck is currently standard legal. So what im going to do is suggest a standard deck that is similar in THEME to your griffin deck... but will not actually be a griffin deck since there just arent enough griffins in standard to make that work.Creatures
4x Judge's Familiar
4x Lyev Skyknight
4x Arctic Aven
4x Niblis of the Urn
4x Skymark Roc
4x Archon of the Triumvirate Spells
3x Favorable Winds
4x Oblivion Ring
1x Martial Law
1x Curse of Exhaustion
1x Sphere of Safety Lands
4x Azorius Guildgate
So...yeah... I basically just gave you a completely different deck instead of suggesting things for your own deck :D. Incidentally.. this is a casual deck. The mana curve on it is kinda screwed up, and it doesnt have some of those key "competitive" components like card draw, or some of the more expensive options like Detention Sphere
and Hallowed Fountain
. However I do think you could build it for fairly cheap because of that.
As for your original deck... as I said you cant really convert that to standard. However, if you dont WANT to convert it to standard.. you may consider still converting it to Blue/White.. and still taking Favorable Winds
and Oblivion Ring
(every white deck needs it or something like it.. Path to Exile
also works).. but then you could also grab Azorius First-Wing
, Mtenda Griffin
, Tethered Griffin
, Zuberi, Golden Feather
Anyway.. good luck with your decks.
