I really like this idea. Stuffy Doll maybe? Also, I think you may wish to look into adding more protection for your general, as without him much of your plan falls apart.

I really like Shirei. I've found that whenever I've tried to use him as a general he doesn't have the colours that give him as much reach as I'd like. So I tossed him in my Adun Oakenshield deck, which is based closer around Shirei than Adun. Creatures that would help your cause more: Blood Artist Falkenrath Noble

You're missing a really key piece to any mono block deck. Cabal Coffers is amazing and should be played any probably tutored for every game. Another card that's awesome for your deck: Grave Pact . In fact thtat card is so awesome that you've probably already seen it and are just having trouble getting hold of it. Liliana Vess is a great turtor and win condition. Corpse Dance is freaking retarded. You'll probably have to order it online unless you live near a card shop with a large stock, but it wins games. Just sac the creature before end of turn to put it back in your grave and then get it back to play permenantly with your general. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed lets you go infinite with triskilion as well as protexting your general though it does mess up the recursion so it might not be worthwhile. Phyrexian Arena and it's new land hungry copy deserve spots too.
Grow old or die trying.

I'm actually getting hold of a [c/]Liliana Vess[/c] soon, and she will definately go in - although she won't be a wincon, since I doubt I'll ever use her +1. And yes, Grave Pact and Cabal Coffers are both amazing and I want them both, but they are proving hard to get hold of without just buying them, and they are both a fair chunk of cash. I've never seen Corpse Dance before, but it looks perfect for the deck! I'm not a fan of Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , I don't like how he gives everything +1/+1 - at least, not in this deck!

Shirei is my favorite general to play. I have been tinkering with my deck for 5(?) years now. I run more of a sac theme - Grave Pact, Braids, Butcher of Malakir, Smoke Stack, Possesed Portal. I think you need a few more things that can sac themselves - I find Bottle Gnomes to be excellent. Beware of Skullclamp - it prevents your 1 power creatures from coming back if you use it on them. You'll find Mindless Automaton one of the best cards in the deck. In multiplayer you're drawing on each persons turn, and with Grave Pact out, you also pretty much clear the board in one round. If you can get Grave Pact, Mindless Automaton and It That Betrays out, you pretty much win the game :-) On that note, beware playing Grave Pact too early. With Shirei it is so powerful you will be a target quickly. You need more protection from Shirei. This deck effects all opponents at the table and you must have Shirei out for most of your tricks to work, so he (she?) becomes a target very quickly once people catch on to your tricks. Don't forget lands like Inkmoth Nexus . If it's a creature as it goes to the graveyard, Shirei brings it back at end of turn! If you can get one, get Black Market. You need lots of mana to bring Shirei back - he WILL get fried. Black Market, with your sac outlets/Grave Pact etc, can get you 8-10 mana the first upkeep it's in and it takes a few turns before someone deals with it in mulitplayer because it's not a "direct" threat or annoyance to them. And finally, and I have said this before in other threads, I have won games with Chimney Imp. Players don't talk to you afterwards.

So much this. Also Workhorse is well, a workhorse in Shirei.
