Congrats Jessie!
unfortunately (well, more accurately, fortunately for contest design reason but not for you) if you double-win you only get to choose one slice. but you can pick whichever one you don't want to deal with in the future. in fact if you want to wait and peak at the elegance and formatcraft criteria for next round before deciding you're cool to do that too. the round should be up tomorrow.

When does the next round start?
I don't have an egosig because I'd rather my ideas be judged on their merits than on mine. Catpoints: Spoiler:
Show
What are catpoints? A way of measuring how much I love you. How do I get catpoints? 1: participate in my forum games/contests. 2: make awesome posts. 3: destroy Carthage. What can I do with catpoints? You can ask favors of me. I may or may not agree to your favor, depending on how big the favor is and how many catpoints you have. Who has how many catpoints? shadowchu: 100 Islands: 100 Niche: 50 mrindigo: 50 kips: 50 Rstnme: 25 Jman: 25 everyone else: 0 Keeperofmanynames: -100 Morgothra: -100

I...I won? Yay!
That means I get to pick the slice I want, yes? If that's the case, gimmie the Formatcraft one, because I suck at that stuff.

Round 6!Okay I'm just gonna post the plaintext version of the new round now because my internet access is intermittent. the card isn't ready yet and Rush is the one with the template so I can't do it myself, but I can certainly post the text. I'll edit in the card once it's complete. SO! what is this round's theme? well, we figured we'd go with something nice and clean. something everyone loves. something like... Lands? yes! hooray! Lands! man Lands are great right? don't even pretend like you don't like lands. DON'T DO IT. lands! razorborne may be drunk right now and it may be impeding his ability to write anything clever or creative but WHATEVER I'M AN ADULT Formatcraft: Make a land that would impact the eternal formats (Vintage, Legacy) but could be printed in a modern set. Flavor: Imagine a set that takes place on a setting like our moon. make a land card for it. History: Future Sight featured a cycle of dual lands looking at possible futures. make an enemy dual land to complete the 10-card cycle. Innovation: Make an Aura that could feasibly enchant your or an opponent's land. Elegance: make a land with no mana abilities. it should still feel land-y. Multiplayer: make a land you can lose control of. enjoy!

Fixed the template. I'm so bad at this. Don't mind the new font; different computer nets different results.

would I have to specify single-sided card or would the rules prevent that on their own?
"Face-down" refers to a card with the morph ability.
707.1. Two cards (Illusionary Mask and Ixidron) and the morph ability (see rule 702.35) allow spells and permanents to be face down.
707.2. Face-down spells and face-down permanents have no characteristics other than those listed by the ability or rules that allowed the spell or permanent to be face down. Any listed characteristics are the copiable values of that object's characteristics. (See rule 613, "Interaction of Continuous Effects," and rule 706, "Copying Objects.")
And so on. From your "single-sided card" comment, it sounds like you're referring to transform cards, which use the terminology "front face" and "back face".
