Think the question now is: who would be cast as JACE?

I'll take the Marvel movies that came after Disney purchased them over the ones that came before every day of the week. Did Disney have much to do with that success? I don't know. But they sure didn't hinder it.

Also, is that really Uncle_Mikey?

No. The first Iron Man predates the Disney purchase, and was the best marvel movie until Avengers. The basic plan for Avengers was laid out after Iron Man's success. The change was Marvel having more control over the movies. See the 90's Fantastic Four for why this is a good thing.

Occassionally when catering, I've been put the task of arranging Fruit and Cheese or Grilled Vegetable platters.  More than once a high class buffet has started with the mark of Phyrexia upon it.  Since i've got a good eye for color so it looks great to people who don't get the "joke" (it's a niceley divided circle after all: the outline gives you 4-6 "regions" to work with), this has actually got me put on platter design more often, resulting in Phyrexia's presence at more private and industry events.

My point was more Disney not interfering, but ya, kudos to the status quo.

First of all, everything bad that Disney could do for Magic like a lower skill cap, diluted value on packs, less focus on game balance and cuts to the competitive scene has already happened. I don't see how they could make it even worse except for judging Magic too small of a business and simply shutting it down.

I don't have any problem if Disney actually lets WotC do their stuff alone ala Touchstone Pictures and arguably with less pressure on the quarterly report than Hasbro. That said, all the advocates should admit that whatever Disney directly puts their hands is set on a pretty low common denominator by default. Just see Adam Carter, Narnia chronicles or Tron: Legacy to put a few examples.

They could go either way. But Disney is usually rather good about not forcing family friendly stuff on successful businesses they acquire. Disney owns Marvel but Marvel sure has not been toned down any time soon.

I don't know how recent the acquisition was but Marvel has been doing pretty bad these days. I was an X-Men fan back in the day but I have lost faith in the series as of late. The Avengers vs X-Men saga was godawful and there's a common feeling on disappointment on the entire company in the comic forums. Some Marvel diehard fans have been switching to DC as of late.

They aren't going to risk losing the core fan base, it's the regulars that drive the company, they would never risk that.

I can't believe it, I came to this website to talk about magic and I find people talking about how much they hate jews.  This is unacceptable, and I'm reporting your post.
