WHAT THE EFF?
I just rushed home, bought the new decks, and started the game because I was so excited to see the promo-unlocks as we did not know them! and then... NOTHING!
I even tried to re-enter old codes, but it did not work either.
I´m a very dissapointed.
I dont care for the money I just wasted. I just want the deck to have 40 cards and be on equal footing or symmetrical with the rest of the decks :/.
The fun thing about this duels is that you can build each deck in different ways. The promo cards graaetly helps with t´hat,.
Now I just sit with this emty feeling, where I dont even feel like playing the game.

People in this thread have said that the problem is the relatively higher price and that was what I was responding to... so yes that was a problem to some people.
I'm not going to read any more of your post when I just told you the price was brought up to emphasise how lazy this seems (if it's true). The price would be fine if they had put the same amount of effort into these decks as every other deck. We have paid this much for a deck pack in the past and been fine with it.
Oh so you just are an arrogant hole in the backside aren't you? How do you measure the detail and effort that was put in to the decks? And how does the price "emphasize" the laziness? Would decks be less lazy if they were cheaper? Can you honestly say that if you take all the Promo cards from the other 15 decks away, they will be just as powerful? No, but that doesn't mean the new ones can't match up to them. I don't know... haven't tried, but people on this forum have written that they are not underpowered. They might be wrong. I don't know.

You know, this is how I look at it.
Disney just bought Star Wars... Imagine Disney puts out an AWESOME re-release of the Original Trilogy. They pretty everything up without taking any of the original feel from the movies, Han shoots first, all the stupid "NOOOOOO!!!"'s that they added are gone, Ghost Anakin isn't Hayden Christensen...Just an awesome, beautiful perfect remake of the Original Trilogy that everyone loves.....
....And then they pull out the Battle of Hoth. Just omit it from Empire Strikes Back for no reason. It's gone. Vader kills Ozzel, gives Piett his instructions, tells Veers to prepare his troops for a surface attack, the ion cannon disables a Star Destroyer and the transport escapes... Then Vader and his snowtroopers break through the walls and start looking for Han, Leia et al. Han has issues starting the Falcon, they gun down some snowtroopers then take off. Next stop, asteroid scene.
The story is still very much intact. You don't need the speeders and the walkers. Empire survives without it. It's just not nearly as good because that scene is gone. Disney made everything in the entire trilogy better, but then they pulled out one of the best things in it.
That's how I feel. Duels 2013 is a great game. A vast improvement over 2012. All the decks are well-made, they are balanced, there are TONS of options... but then for no discernable reason, they pulled the best parts out of a third of the decks.
So yeah, maybe that will put my feelings into better perspective.

I understand that, and maybe I even agree. I just don't think people should be taking some moral high ground when it comes to stuff like this... as they so often do.

This is the TRUTH, SPLATTERCAT!! Thanks for explaining it in english way better, than I can.! Thats excatcly how I feel!
I love this game, and it is a very much a shame, that they do it like this, when it is so easy to make it better!

Splatter, you said it right and I agree. That being said, I unlocked the decks and trimmed to my first try cut and was very pleased with deck performance... but, they can he better. I really find it hard to believe that we'll forever be without the extra twenty, but after we all broke the bank with the last promos I can see where the marketing department may have got thier feelings hurt. So, they took twenty of thier toys and went home to take a nap.

Steve, I dont think you understand the spirit behind, what SplatterCat Wrote. The Problem is not what the deck is, but what it so easyli could have been. Also, it is your analogy that is Broken, as Jar Jar Binks is the best part of Star Wars by far *Wink* *Wink* *Wink*

Disagreeing with Splattercat because he's Splattercat
Okay then...
I dont think you understand the spirit behind, what SplatterCat Wrote.
The Problem is not what the deck is, but what it so easyli could have been.
This exactly. Disney fantasy remake made everything in the Original Trilogy BETTER. Hoth could have been so amazingly awesome, but rather than improve it, they cut it.
That's what I feel they've done to Duels. 2013 is in almost every conceivable way better than 2012, yet for some reason, they pulled what are (based on the 15 decks we've seen with Promos so far) the most impresive ten unlocks out of a third of the decks (well, not a third...Somewhere between a third and a quarter actually).

It does. It just makes them more unjustified.
Look, these are first world problems at their worst. Be disappointed, sure, but the wailing and gnashing of teeth is ridiculous.
And even then, your analogy is broken. Nobody is going back and changing anything of the original decks. The correct way to look at it would be to release sequels without core elements such as lightsabers. And even then, who says they've done this here? You claim they stripped out the best parts of the decks, but can you please tell me how you know this? Where did this mystery missing list in your head come from? How can anything be taken out that was never there? Even then, they could just as likely have trimmed the crap for all you know - removing a potential Jar Jar Binks or Midicholrian explanation from the edit in fact, to continue with clumsy Star Wars examples.
You told yourself there would be promo unlocks, and you told yourself they'd be these amazing, deck defining inclusions. Wizards haven't betrayed you, Wizards Sean hasn't betrayed you and Stainless haven't betrayed you. The only person who betrayed you was yourself, and your hysterical reaction to it is embarassing.
What doesn't make sense is that 15 of the decks have 40 unlocks, while 6 of the decks only have 30. If all of the decks had 30 unlocks, or all had 40 unlocks, this wouldn't even be a topic. That's the issue here. There was no reason for any of us to think that the deck packs would only have 30 unlocks instead of 40 like the rest of the decks have.
