Forum trolls win again.
I got derailed into my burn deck. I'm back off of that now though. I do think permission is very viable angle and you can feel free to overload on it since so many value plays are handled by not letting them resolve.
Boasts?

So, is the general consensus that counters > burn, and control > tempo?
Sidenote: Glad to see you back niche, although I did enjoy your r/b burn quite a bit.

@Niche, so you're thinking more goblin/control rather than goblin/burn? @PandamanX64, Not sure on the definition of Tempo yet. I'll have to look it up. I like both burn and control. Maybe with guttersnipe it can turn into both? Control with burn snuck in on the side.

They stuck guttersnipe in. I'm not seeing how that's any better than burning vengeance. At least burning vengeance has actual control mechanisms.

Snipe is better because it can attack, and cares about all spells cast, not just flashback. Vengeance has too many hoops, especially given the inflated cost of most good flashback spells. Yes, snipe is more fragile, but it doesn't require your deck to be as all-in on the plan so you don't care as much if it gets toasted.
Also, this format is stuffed full of x/3's, so vengeance being able to hit creatures is fairly irrelevant.
