Ok so I am about to buy some new sleeves and I am tired of ultra pro art sleeves splitting, so I am deciding on dragon shield, pain ultra pro matte or plain ultra pro solid color sleeves. I really disslike many of the color options so I am half tempted to buy a bunch of black sleeves from eather company and using artsy ultra pro boxes. So whats your thought process on sleeves?

I use plain Ultra Pros. I started off with them, then switched to the Ultra Pro's with pictures on them, but had problems with them (sticking together, peeling, harder to shuffle), so I switched back.

Not bad. But what happens flavor wise when one kamahl kills the other one?

That makes no sense to me.
If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed?

Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch . YAY COLOR IDENTITY
Is algebra really that difficult?
Survey says yes.

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.

I've had much better luck with KMC and Dragon Shield than Ultra Pro, but in most cases I just use penny sleeves (I'm a limited player, so I do a lot of resleeving).

Curious, do you use different colors? are you picky about what colors you use for decks?

Re: Colors:
Yes, I try to match the color of my sleeves to the color of my deck, wherever possible. My Goblin decks are in red sleeves, my elf decks are in green sleeves, etc.

I do the opposite.
Blue deck in red sleeves.
"Wait, I thought you were playing red?"
"Never said I was."
Fun.

I buy the same color every time. Then if I want to take a green card from my GR deck and put it into my GW deck I don't have to re-sleeve. More time building decks and less time sleeving cards makes me happy.

I stand by Dragon Shield sleeves. I've got old DS sleeves from a decade or more ago that are still trucking along with no tears or breaks.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in an thread with GM_Champion" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against AzureShade when card design is on the line!

I bought some dragon shield's the other day and they are really nice!! I can't comment on how long they will last but they seem to be well made.
