Instead of reforge the soul. Maybe try Dangerous Wager . It is also an instant so you can cast it in response to something your opponent does to try to get an answer. And it gives your opponent nothing.

I can't think of any card a W/x deck might play were I'd worry about Seraph Angel more than it. They can't flash in Seraph, so I have a little time to think of a response. Restoration flashes in when I really don't want her to.
All that said, I miss Combust.
And if you're not playing dreadbore or mortars, you'll be thinking of a response only to remember that you have no response in your 75, which is true for a lot of red decks in the format. A lot of decks in the format are colded by Restoration Angel's 4 toughness moreso than her flash ability (pretty easy to not get surprised by that card), and Seraph just becomes Resto copies #5-X.
Also, for decks that don't play green (i.e. thragtusk), seraph's a pretty sweet way to get back in the race. Particularly when piked.

Actually, my response probably would be just to crash head long into the Angel then burn it off. With a little luck they'll either trigger a Mordbid Volley for lethal, or they'll have gotten cute and tried to off a Zealot. Those 4 thoughness creatures are why I like Hellrider, he pushes damage through regardless, and a lot of the time I find myself launching an Alpha strike and then just finishing the game with a burn spell to their face before they can declare blockers.
With the Restoration, I have to decide if I want to play it safe, ie: assume they have the Angel in hand and hold up burn to trade with it, or if I should just go all in, play my hastey creatures and aplha strike then gear up to burn their face off next turn. I've been burned both ways.

Currently testing out Deathrite Shaman as a Grim Lavamancer for R/b or B/r Sligh builds. I'm thinking 3 Shaman SB for my B/r Zombie-Sligh list, for bot hate on reanimator for use in the mirror. Basically I try to play a bit more of a control deck VS them using Shaman to nom spells for some damage. Testing a more traditional Sligh build for mono-Red with no Guttersnipes or Hellriders, using Archwing Dragon as my top of curve since he dodges sorcery speed removal (ie: Oblivion Ring, Dreadbore, Dentention Sphere, Terminus, ect....)

Messing around with more of a Mid-Range RDW now more than Sligh. I was just having too much a a problem VS Thragtusk + Centaur Healer, or more specifically, turn 3 Healer, turn 4 Resotration Angel to blink Healer, Thragtusk. I was getting too far behind their board position thanks to their life gain. I had to up the curve to include some Thundermaws so I could just keep going over the top. My Sligh builds just couldn't keep up.
My RDW build is using Hellrider since I have a lot of 1 and 2 drops, but I may go to Archwing.
I've found Shaman is a perfect include for B/R Sligh.
