Just want to confirm something. I have a total of 5 cards in my graveyard, including a Ghastly Demise . I resolve Snapcaster Mage and it's ETB trigger targeting Ghastly Demise . I flashback Ghastly Demise . Can I destroy a Tarmogoyf that is currently a 4/5 (with other instants in graveyards)? If the answer is no, what if Ghastly Demise was the only instant in all graveyards?

Flashback is cost to cast the card from the graveyard. Casting means moving the card from its current zone (graveyard here) to the Stack zone. So it's not on the graveyard anymore. If there's other instants in graveyards, Tarmogoyf is still 4/5 when it gets to resolve so it won't be destroyed (as you have only 4 cards in your graveyard at this point). But if Ghastly Demise was the only instant in any graveyard, Tarmogoyf is a 3/4 now and can be destroyed.

The answer is no to the first question, because Ghastly Demise is moved from the graveyard to the stack when you cast it. As such, when you're selecting a target for it, there are only 4 cards in your graveyard. For the same reason, the answer to your second question is yes.
