I tried to come up with a witty name for the deck and got nothin thus Bantrol was the result. I'm not fond of the name myself honestly.

Yeah, my friend went 4-0 on that FNM without losing a game... Eight games, all wins.  Sorry for the confusion.

It was revealed to me in a dream.  All the cards were in my dream except for three slots which I plugged in as Vault Skirge.

FULL DISCLOSURE:  The dream was post AVR so there was a copy of Slayer's Stronghold.  I decided to keep it pre AVR in my post here.

EDIT: I just remembered.  The Skirges might have been 2x Whipflare and 1x something else, probably War and Peace.

EDIT2:  Currently 4-0 in my first four games with this.  My opponents have been very angry.  I fought off a Wurmcoil from Grixis for six turns before I found my second Dispatch.  Jeez, I can do a lot of damage.

EDIT3: Streak broken.  Lost to an unexpected Overrun.    Cracking a Shrine for 10 wasn't enough.

How Kedi tests his decks:

also, I've been playtesting this deck in my sleep today
that kinda freaked me out

To be fair, FNMs I go to have 60+ people at them rather regularly.

You make it sounds like everyone is in an area near a ptq. Id have to drive 6 hours in order to got to a big event like that. FNM is litterally my only place to play Magic competatively. Me going 5-0 has been unheard of with the amount of net decks i see and have to play. The last time i did that was over a year ago during a booster draft. It used to be that FNM was a joke but with the internet most people use FNM to play net decks and flesh out their deck against other people with good decks for the big events.

San Diego FNMs are pretty competative, but I don't know about other areas.

To be fair, I'd rate MTGO Daily Events generally higher than FNMs in competitiveness, since everyone will play competitive decks - but the problem is, even in Daily Events, people are generally terrible players. Just because an environment is competitive, it doesn't mean that environment is good competitively.

As for validation for control's viability, SCGO and MTGO Daily Event results should be the indicators.

I get that MTGO is a better source for deck testing and seeing how it plays but im not going to spend the kind of money needed to try and remake the deck i already have online just to test it. Its just not financially feaseable just like attending anything bigger than FNM requires a 6 hour drive.
