Switch to Forum Live View Launch Party and Guttersnipe

Just after confirmation of a scenario.

A player has Guttersnipe as their only creature and casts Launch Party , sacrificing the Guttersnipe .  The Guttersnipe will not trigger because Launch Party is not cast until all costs have been paid, correct?

EDIT: Can't see a spelling mistake, but Guttersnipe is not auto carding.  The text reads:


Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, Guttersnipe deals 2 damage to each opponent.

Yes, that's correct. Guttersnipe is not on the field to trigger, when the spell finally becomes 'cast'.

"Simple questions" usually need rather complex answers, while complex questions often come down to no more than a simple "yes" or "no".
