Launch Party strikes me as costly version of Bone Splinters -- It's not a strong pack, but why is launch party the pick here?

The best picks here are (off top of my head):

Selesnya Keyrune
Lobber Crew
Launch Party
Giant Growth

That's a pretty weak pick 3 group. Keyrune's awesome in Selesnya decks, but at best would be mana fixing for splash. Crew is good, but not so good I'd want to start drafting red. Giant growth is just a combat trick. I like it, but it's not unconditional removal like launch party.

And like I said, removal's pretty scarce. By drafting launch party, we keep our options open on what color to draft next, and we get unconditional removal at the cost of sacking a crap creature. And it deals damage too.

Limited Guidelines:

5.0: I will take this card no matter what: Pack Rat
4.5: Bomb and/or splashable creature or removal: Aetherling
4.0: Excellent first pick first pack, will sway me into same colors: Advent of the Wurm
3.5: Excellent first pack pick two, will confirm colors or possibly sway into second color. Gaze of Granite
3.0: Good in-color addition, or splashable removal/creature: Ascended Lawmage
2.5: Solid pick in-color: Bronzebeak Moa
2.0: Creatures 10-16; removal 6-7. Haazda Snare Squad
1.5: My 23rd or 22nd card, depending on removal. Wake the Reflections )
1.0: 23rd card if I don't maindeck an additional land: Murmuring Phantasm
0.5: This card will sometimes be sideboarded in: Uncovered Clues
0.0: I will shred this card for counters: Possibility Storm

If we end up golgari, Giant Growth is the pick. If we end up rakdos, Lobber Crew. Staying on color gives us a choice between Launch Party and Locust, and I'm not thrilled with either option. I have an irrational love for Lobber Crew though, so let's go with that.

Launch Party, unconditional removal with hoops is still decent and if we end up Golgari it can also be a good enabler.

For some reason I feel inclined to go for the Keyrune. I suppose the Launch Party is the more rational pick though.

Launch Party.  The better version of Death Bomb is really good in an aggro deck like Rakdos as 2 life is not insignificant here and it can remove any non-hexproof creature in the set.  Best used on an Arrested creature for sure.

Becuase there's not a lot of removal in this set. Launch Party.

I have 6743 Planeswalker points, that's probably more than you.

I like removal and play even clunky ones like Launch Party so no problem if we grab that.

Question about format is whether there really is so little is decent removal that Launch Party is a 3rd pick? Are the 2 evasion dudes worth considering? On color Locust or Runewing?
