Well guys, we started with a nice UB Delver, moved on to whiter pastures, and today we still see some UR delver swimming around. But one combonation has been neglected for so long... UG Delver. Buildup aside, here is a deck list: 4 Delver of Secrets 4 Young Wolf 2 Talrand, Sky Summoner ---------------------------- 10 Creatures 4 Giant Growth 4 Titanic Growth 4 Ranger's Guile 4 Rancor 4 Unsummon 2 Negate 4 Thought Scour 4 Think Twice ---------------------------- 30 Other Spells 4 Hinterland Harbor 9 Island 7 Forest ---------------------------- 20 Lands It's a more aggressive Delver type than your run of the mill tempo style. What this needs I've noticed is more consistency and a sideboard. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Needs 4 Invisible Stalker and 2-3 Runechanter's Pike .
I'll obviously need to make that sideboard in and out for Dryad Militant , I'll test it out.

I was considering this, but it seemed to me there were too many green spells.
I'ma try this:
+3 Quirion Dryad +3 Invisible Stalker +2 Runechanter's Pike -2 Rancor -4 Young Wolf -2 Think Twice
Kind of a compromise between two views. Sound good?

Ahh such a downer. Also, didn't you see the name of the thread?
you mean the name which is listed in the tournament play section of the forums?

I've actually almost got this thing put together now! It's fast and fun (for me at least).
4 Delver of Secrets 3 Invisible Stalker 3 Quirion Dryad 2 Talrand, Sky Summoner ---------------------------- 12 Creatures
4 Giant Growth 4 Titanic Growth 3 Rancor 3 Runechanter's Pike 4 Unsummon 3 Ranger's Guile 4 Thought Scour 3 Artful Dodge ---------------------------- 28 Other Spells
4 Hinterland Harbor 9 Island 7 Forest ---------------------------- 20 Lands
There's the updated decklist. I still need to build a sideboard. Suggestions are appreciated!
8 pump spells seems like too many, especially with only 12 creatures. I'm also not a fan of Ranger's Guile, it seems like you'd be better served with Negate. Snapcasters would be good, assuming they're not out of budget for you. I'm also feeling that Artful Dodge is redundant, since most of your creatures already have evasion, plus Rancor is just better.
8 is actually just the right amount. This deck loses much of the control elements of more classical delver decks for the pump spells that speed up the deck. Also attacking with a sudden 8/8 stalker for game is super fun. Question being though, what would you put in instead of the pump?
I've been tossing between Ranger's Guile and Negate for awhile now. I'll test the deck specifically for both
Artful Dodge seems redundant but it plays really well with the deck. It helps get a big Quirion Dryad through and it has cheap flashback giving me lots of cheap +1/+1 counters / drakes depending on which creatures are out. It's also nice to be able to use Talrand himself for an extra bit of damage without risking him to a sudden Restoration Angel or Snapcaster. But it's never nice to have a hand full of them, hence the three copies.
And also, more rancors means a lower chance to flip delver. Three rancors and three pikes seems to play well, but it might go to a four - two split later.
Speaking of the sideboard, I'm now considering Sundering Growth vs. Naturalize for artifact/enchantment linchpin deck. Sundering Growth may cost GG versus Naturalize's 1G, but it's a white spell that triggers the dryad and with Talrand out I get two drakes for the price of one. I'm leading towards Growth, but prohibitive mana cost is prohibitive.

It's a silly deck. And it was high time for one. UG Delver.

Personally, with 8 pumps, I'd want a couple more creatures (ie, Snapcaster, you never said if that was an option or not). Inaction Injunction seems alright in the place of 2 pumps. I do see your point about Artful Dodge, and I'll just add that I never said to add more Rancor, just that it's better.
