Lets say i block some 10/10 opponents attacker with loyal sentry and use cloudshift after that.

Will his attacker die and i take 0 damage ?

Yes.

  1. Declare Attackers
  2. Players can cast spell and use abilities.
  3. Declare Blockers
  4. Players can cast spell and use abilities.
  5. Damage is dealt

You cast Cloudshift in response to the triggered ability in (4). Neither the 10/10 nor the blocking Loyal Sentry will be on the 'field to deal damage in (5). There will be a fresh Loyal Sentry on the 'field, but it's not involved in the combat.

Even if you blocked with a Tundra Wolves and cloudshifted it, you'd still take 0 damage. Once a creature has been blocked, it stays blocked for the rest of combat.

Obviously, using Loyal Sentry is more hilarious, but I wanted to make sure you got that tip.

There's also that «destroy that creature» thingy ...

I think that is the "hilarious" bit
