If Geth's Verdict makes me sacrifice a creature and I choose to sacrifice Unworthy Dead , can I regenerate it after the sacrifice?

No.
Regeneration does not protect against «sacrifice». It protects against «destroy».
«Dystocracy : A system of government in which corrupt leadership colludes with dishonest bankers and greedy elites in order to ensure that productive members of society –people who actually do useful work- bear the greatest share of taxes while gaining the least benefit possible.»

Sounds familiar?

I wouldnt say "protects".

@ OP: This wont work for 2 reasons:
1) regeneration replaces destruction, and sacrifice isnt a form of destruction
2) regeneration "shields" have to be set up in advance, so you cannot wait until after the creature is in the graveyard to try to regenerate it.

That makes no sense to me.

If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed?

Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch . YAY COLOR IDENTITY

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.

Regeneration doesn't bring a creature back from the graveyard. Regeneration just "blocks" one instance of destruction. You have to use it before the creature would be destroyed, not after.

Sacrifice != Destruction, although it resolves similarly. An indestructible creature can be sacrificed and will "die" regardless. A regenerated creature can be sacrificed, and will go to the graveyard without regenerating. A "sacrificed" permanent is not "destroyed" at any point, and thus the related abilities will not trigger.

you can activate the ability in response to Geth's Verdict, but it won't save it.
Regeneration only works against destroy actions or effects.
Once it's left the field the ability can't be activated.

Destroy actions and effects can happen 3 ways and only 3 ways.

  1. spells or abilities that say destroy eg. Murder or Day of Judgment
  2. the State Based Action for lethal damage
  3. the State Based Action for damage from a source with deathtouch
