Omniscience is not broken in Legacy. It's simply just another tool. In all honesty, adding Omniscience to Show and Tell is something of a liability as well as good as well as solving a problem. Omniscience is just another card in the deck.

I just tossed it my Numot, the Devastator EDH deck. Because it strikes me as being an awesome thing to play and then follow up with an Armageddon or Bust .

yeah, omni-tell is a bit of a flash in the pan
i would not be surprised to see it decline substantially over the next few months

This definitely doesn't mean what you think it means.

I was referring to the painting The Treachery of Images.

I know.

I find it cute when people use cards from Visions to justify a mechanic being in a particular color.

JHC. The card was reprinted in Tenth.

The problem is that I'm not sure a creature counter is useful right now, since Cavern's an auto-include. I mean, I had no problem dealing with counters if I was playing a tribal deck already.

So you complain about Essence Scatter and not Cavern of Souls ?

Still, M13 seemed to me to be full of inelegant cards, weird bleeds, and cards that were either bad or broken, depending on your deck.

Can I get some examples of those two?

Haven't really been around enough to answer the OP properly, but RtR is the first set that pulled me fully back into magic since Apocalypse, that has got to count for something! (and now, RtR, stop making me create new decks all the time! ><)

Got killed by omniscience in edh the other day.

omniscience, followed by time stretch. Untap into diabolic revelation for 7 cards.

Magister Sphinx targetting me (80+ life.. Kaalia beatdown), sorin's vengeance targeting me.

Artifact removal my lightning greaves which were equiped to my indestructible Platinum Angel. Then removes my Avacyn Angel of Hope and destroys my Platinum Angel.

IMO, at least since ROE. Maybe even Timespiral. But maybe that is influenced by the fact that I'm sick to death of drafting M13.

i was gonna mention RoE. Actually I have yet to draft RtR, but little has topped the RoE drafting experience for me.

I was referring to poison. In old-school poison, it was a joke, namely because it was a linear mechanic with all of seven cards in the game.

Future Sight gave poison to a sliver , which is good, I guess, but even though it stacks, it still had the "you die from zero life first" clause, made worse by the fact that the card is green, and green tends to get +X/+X effects on its slivers (and they also stack). Hell, you have Frenzy Sliver in black. It's not pure jank, but it's still more casual than tournament-worthy.

But Scars? Scars made power matter in a poison deck, and infect is common in all colors, whereas double strike is neither. (At least you can't combine the two on one card. Oh crap ) It also made the griefiest shroud variant ever .

Obviously infect wasn't broken. But it was popular around here. And even being hit with poison once could mean being killed by Viral Drake . (In my current attempt to build a griefing FTV, the Drake is my compromise on "include a praetor, an infect card, and a proliferate card".)

Best since Zendikar at least, IMHO. I need to play with it more before declaring it the best since Shadowmoor / Eventide.*

* Seriously, what is up with Shadowmoor getting no respect? You open a box of it nowadays, and it is full to the brim with $5+ rares... the Lieges, the filter lands, Woodfall Primus , Prismatic Omen , Mana Reflection , Greater Auramancy , Rhys, Oona, Demigod... that set was the stone cold nuts in hindsight...
