I went Golgari and I think the deck would work quite well. No real bombs, but a good curve and good removal. Maybe you should even flatten the curve further and take in the Dark Favor which passed by so often. The mana is slightly unclear. You want green mana first as most cheap creatures are in green, however all the removal needs double black mana, so its a little tricky. But I think 18 lands with 50:50 should do the trick and if you get flooded then you still have Diabolic Revelation as an X-spell and Liliana's Shade loves lots of (black) mana anyway. Something fishy about this draft, pack 1 contains extra Rare, pack 2 extra uncommon, really late Epic. Oh well, seeing the Door in the first pack caused me to plan for it to table, when it did, it became my alternate win option, then with Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker showing up late, I am going more for those two than anything else really. Predominately G/b deck though. Draft

Elvish Visionary -- Cantrip + defensive fodder Walking Corpse x 2 -- Was thinking of including ring, but it just missed the cut, still need bodies though. Mwonvuli Beast Tracker -- find those spiders Garruk's Packleader -- Every deck needs some beef Silklash Spider -- Control the sky, defend rest Vastwood Gorger -- The other beefy option Spells (8): Farseek -- Most likey to be used to get a Plains Titanic Growth x 2 Searing Spear x 2 -- You NEED removal, single red is easily do-able Murder x 2 -- Unconditional kill Oblivion Ring -- removes more than problem CREATURES Artifacts (3): Gem of Becoming x 2 -- Helps find those lands Door to Nothingness -- The "I win!" card Planeswalker (1): Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker -- Nasty Epic, unexpected bonus Land (17): Swamp x 4 Forest x 7 Plains x 2 Mountain x 2 Island x 2 Deck is creature light, but also have 5 removal and 2 combat tricks. Any land distruction or mill will likely kill your chance for Door. But with all that removal and some well timed Titanic Growth , it can win the traditional way. But being able to win with either Door to Nothingness or Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is the aim. Wondering if I should find a way to add 3rd Plains because Gem won't fish those up.

Unfortunately, I don't really have time @ the moment to create the actual deck for this draft. But after my first real-life experience with an 8 person, competitive draft I decided that KISS was the way to go. Creature based, green and fast if possible, preference to creatures with flying, flash, vigilance and other special abilities. When G/U first pack. Hate drafted O-ring. Thought, "hey maybe splash some white", then Krenko came...then BOLAS? Too bad I didn't start drafting black and red oh...3 PACKS AGO! Also, to an earlier poster: I didn't see Odric! I inadvertantly picked up some support for Krenko early on, but to be honest, I'd have picked him up even if I didn't have any other goblins in the deck. Reading the topic I think this is one of the more powered drafts I've seen so far. As usual, I started with one colour and kept looking for a good card to decide my secondary colour (I tend to avoid black, though). Silklash Spider looked good and I decided on red when Volcanic Strength came along. I suppose I didn't want another draft where I keep picking the same colour until I am forced to choose. Reviewing it maybe I could have actually gone mono green this time. Lots of big creatures in green. First draft

Wow, I seemed to have went a very different directon than most, but had a pretty bomb deck first time through. It's pure black white with Tormented Soul and two War Falcons as my one drop creetures, with hopefully one of my three Aven Squires coming in on turn two. (Crusader of Odric and 2x Guardians of Akrasa as my three drop soldeirs just in case.) Then we go Bloodhunter Bat x2 complimented by Healer of the Pride and Rhox Faithmender. [13 creatures]. And then the rediculous removal/control suite. (Crippling Blight X2, pacifism x2, oblivion ring, murder x3, cower in fear, and essence drain).[10] Throw in 17 lands and I don't even have room for my other good cards I feel it's worth noting that only Cower and Fear and Murder are double costed in one color.

I really liked this draft; to the point that I made an account just to talk about it. There were quite a few decks that could have come from it, but the green had an advantage I really appreciated: the Arbor Elves, Primadox, and Thragtusk. There was Healer of the Pride in there too, but I much preferred snatching away the cards Blue wanted to building up a GW wall. Same reason I passed up on 'Dox. Normally I have a hard time picking because of diversity and inconsistent theming in my packs, but this was really easy for me. It even made it easy to pick out the potential problems that people may pick around the table, like Duress, Mind Sculpt (which, because of it being an early pick, found a home in my deck), and all the blue creature hate like Unsummon and Essence Scatter. It was unfortunate that I picked blue early and couldn't extend out to slap Red down, so my deck would most likely lose to Goblin spam. I tried to pick up on Exalted on a later attempt, but 2x DBD, 1 Tormented, and War Falcs didn't make up an early game. There weren't enough enchantments (outside of BW) to provide a reason for Erase. Crusader of Odric was a nice pull though. White could have used earlier stuff. WG didn't look bad though. Healer+Dox+Thrag works.
