Not right now, they aren't Standard-playable yet.

Return to Ravnica will be officially Released on October 5th (next Friday). So, just wait a little more.

Nope. Return to Ravnica isn't legal for sanctioned tournaments until its official release date, meaning Friday, October 5.

The tourneys we had previous weekend were pre-releases. It's not your cards are only legal one week later. It's that you had the chance to get the cards one week ealier!

We've had that discussion before.
Although many people were raised to believe otherwise,
the official definition of the word states that «next friday» is indeed october 5th.
That's not the only lie your parents told you!

Furthermore, there are those for whom «this friday» would mean september 28th!

«Dystocracy : A system of government in which corrupt leadership colludes with dishonest bankers and greedy elites in order to ensure that productive members of society –people who actually do useful work- bear the greatest share of taxes while gaining the least benefit possible.»

Sounds familiar?

The moment Return to Ravnica becomes Standard legal, Scars of Mirrodin block (incluidng all it's proliferate cards) rotates out. This means you wont be able to use profliferate on a Corpsejack Menace in Standard (unless they reprint proliferate in the near future).

That makes no sense to me.

If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed?

Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch . YAY COLOR IDENTITY

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.
