By no turn 1 kills in this case, do you mean 1 turn loses?

you will never take an action that causes you to lose. therefore, you can't possibly lose before your opponent has done something.
120.6. Some effects replace card draws.

Mountain, Mana Clash . Technically "capable" of winning, and "perfect play" doesn't prevent you from playing it, but because of the rules you will always lose.

Rule 5 in the OP states
5. If a random effect (i.e. a coinflip) is owned by a player, its outcome is chosen by the opponent.
so Mana Clash isn't actually capable of winning, so it's not legal

Ceci n'est pas une pipe.
This definitely doesn't mean what you think it means.
I was referring to the painting The Treachery of Images.
I know.

by the way guys, a couple of people (including myself) are interested in changing the discard rule. Currently any deck that can potentially force the opponent to discard/exile more than 1 card is illegal, but we're interested in changing that to only ban multi-discard on a single turn. (i.e. repeatable discard effects would be fine as long as you can only use them once a turn.) does anyone have any objections to that?

Ah, but your opponent is still trying to win the game, so your opponent would choose for you to lose every coinflip, so it would be an effective tactic if it didn't lose to both base decks.
