A consistent buff you can expect from a equipment card is +1/+1 , and that's actually pretty damn good. Conditional +2/+2 is really sweet. Consider the fact that over 40% of your deck is land, and also the fact that you'll probably have lands already in your hand when the Gear drops. This means the Gear will probably be effective at least half of the time. It doesn't cost a card, Landfall is not "discard a land", it's "play a land". And we might even get a Ruin Ghost , which makes the card super sweet.

Arrow Volley Trap is *great* removal, but a bit costly, a bit situational, and the trap cost doesn't seem to come out too often.
Quest for the Gravelord is very good, you can get the 5/5 for 1 out decently quickly in most black decks I find. Also sends good signals as there's little black in the pack.
For now I'll go with Arrow Volley Trap as it's still good removal, and removal is removal. But I'm not 100% on this at all.

I'm actually a huge fan of Arrow Volley Trap , but I don't think it's as good in this twisted format.
Quest for the Gravelord is pretty good, but it's also not generally a card I go into black for. I prefer to have some solid (real) bodies or removal first.
Territorial Baloth is alright, but not really something I want to jump into green for.
Ondu Cleric can be powerful with enough support. But I doubt we can get that support with two packs.
Beast Hunt has pretty bad odds. Definitely not worth going into green for.
Khalni Heart Expedition is alright fixing and landfall triggers if you get it down early. But it has the Ranger's Path problem of getting you mana later than you need it. Also it might not come down early, and in that case it is just bad.
There are more impressive five drops than Tuktuk Grunts . I would not waste an early pick on it.
Timbermaw Larva is a good aggressive green creature, but I don't think we want that.
I'll go for Quest, I just think it's the best card here. Gets better if your opponent is cracking Spawns.

I have no idea who voted what, but Sleeping said that it was Quest for the Gravelord, so I'll go with that.===Current Picks=== Umara Raptor Adventuring Gear Quest for the Grav
kinda bad pack I think. I don't think I've ever gotten to play Seascape Aerialist but it looks good enough to me. Maybe Shortcutter or Refuge would be a better pick idk.

Aerialist seems bad in this format. Really, really bad.
Aerialist seems bad in this format. Really, really bad. Frontier Guide is the pick I think. It fixes, it ramps, it enables landfall. Goblin Shortcutter would probably be my second
Lacerator is very risk-reward, while the sell-sword pushes us more into allies, which I'm not seeing all that much pack support from. I think I'll lean towards Lacerator.
Magma Rift is really good too but I'm not sure about 5 packs 4 colors right now.

For me it's between Quest and Drake, both are very solid cards. For now I'll vote for whichever one has the most votes, but if someone can convince me I will switch to one of them.

Magma Rift hedges our bets a little. Expedition Map is an interesting choice though as its possible to get both manlands and Quicksand in Worldwake, and at worst it is slow fixing.

I think the Map is okay, especially if we're lucky enough to find a manland in the next pack. Otherwise, it'd probably be the Trick for the sideboard or the Rift as a bet on red...

Shortcutter might make deck if we get another better red card to splash with it and we end up low on playables. Not all too likely but more than Spire imo. Hating doesn't matter too much in my experience.

Due to the nature of hating, it's hard to see the effects. However, This is a lot of strong red, so I agree, Shortcutter
